My journey began in a small village in Azad Kashmir called Kharak. I came to the UK with a simple dream. I wanted to build something that filled people’s lives with joy.
I started by decorating wedding halls across the North of England. For over 15 years, I worked in venues across Bradford, Leeds, and Manchester. And during all that time, I noticed the same problems again and again.
Families in our South Asian community struggled to find a wedding hall that truly understood them. They faced fragmented services. They dealt with inflexible policies. They felt that venues did not respect their traditions. That never sat right with me.
I knew Bradford deserved something different. Something extraordinary. I dreamed of creating one of the finest Asian Wedding Halls Bradford had ever seen. That is why I founded The Grand by Jalwa. My mission was simple. To create a wedding hall that specialises in the beautiful, culturally rich celebrations our community is known for.
Today, I am still personally involved in every detail of your day. From the food to the decor to the overall feel of your celebration. My journey from decorator to founder means I understand your vision from every angle. I have been where you are now. And I built this space so you would never have to compromise.
