I came to the UK with a simple dream: to build something that filled people’s lives with joy. I started by decorating wedding venues across the North of England, and for over 15 years, I saw the same problems. Families, especially in our South Asian community, struggled to find a high capacity venue that truly understood their needs for grand celebrations. They faced fragmented services, inflexible policies, and a lack of cultural understanding.
I knew Bradford deserved something extraordinary. That is why I founded The Grand by Jalwa with a singular mission: to provide a venue that specialises in the large scale, culturally rich weddings our community is known for. Now, I am personally involved in every detail of your day, from the food and décor to the ambience, ensuring everything is organised to perfection whether you are hosting 50 or 600 guests. My journey from decorator to founder means I understand your vision from every angle.
